how well every mattress eases pressure.Emma Mattress At John Lewis…. I’m going to get down on this pressure map here, rest on my back, side and stomach. You’re going to see anywhere from blue to no pressure all the way approximately red to high pressure. The only thing to note is that if you have a different body type than I do, you might see different outcomes. Let’s get going. [music] Martin: Hey people, Martin here to offer a different viewpoint. Joe’s 5′ 9, 160, but I’m 6′ 7, 230. I’m a bigger person than Joe. I want to discuss my experience with the Emma Mattress. In regards to firmness, Joe stated this was a 6 out of 10. I thought it was closer to a 6.5 or 7 out of 10. That’s due to the fact that I’m a larger person, I’m pressing even more into the mattress, feeling some more firmness than Joe did. In regards to sleeping positions starting on my back, a very, very nice match for me, total support. I feel less assistance on my back location as well, so very good for back sleeping. Relocating to my side, I would typically stress over feeling some firmness on my shoulders and my hips, however there is some zoning on this mattress. It’s really softer under my shoulders and my hips. A good match for side sleeping. Relocating to my stomach, the mattress is definitely too soft for me. I’m a bigger person so I’m bowing at the hips rather, getting out of positioning. What does all that suggest? If you’re a much heavier back or side sleeper, this could be an excellent match for you. I would look elsewhere if you’re a much heavier stomach sleeper. Joe: If you sleep with a partner you’re going to want to think about movement transfer. Basically, if your partner is walking around on that side of the bed, is that movement going to be separated or transfer over to you and possibly wake you up at night? To test that I have a glass here. I’m going to create a little disruption around the glass. We’ll see how this glass reacts. See that it’s moving a little bit, but it is separating motion pretty well. I also had Martin on my team jumping in and out of bed, develop a bit of disturbance. I didn’t really feel motion transfer over to me. I would state that this mattress is a respectable choice for couples. If you sleep with a partner or you like sleeping towards the edge of the bed. You’re going to want to consider edge support. Can you sit or sleep towards the edge of the without seeming like you’re going to fall off? I’m on the edge here. You can see that the foam is collapsing quite a bit. Not always the best. I’m going to get down on my back now. I’m getting that rolling of the bed feeling a little bit. I would say in this case the edge assistance is relatively typical. Let’s talk through some of the pros of this mattress.
